I’m not trying to jump on a bandwagon here, yet I honestly pick Sabbath Bloody Sabbath to be the greatest Heavy Metal Album ever. I blabbed all about it this past year. There is way too many cool things happening on this album – it is dark, the Iommi riffs, Ozzy’s vocals – at his best then, the diverse nature of the album in and of itself. Yes, the album cover is unreal stuff as well. Fluff was the first song I ever learned to play on the guitar too.

Yes indeed, the early Sabbath albums are worthy of being called “Classics”, including this one. “Killing Yourself to Live” is one of my favorite songs from this one. Some of the material may sound a bit dated yes, but the Ozzy version of Sabbath definitely created some awesome songs. In order, my all-time favorite albums by them are: Sabotage, Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, Master of Reality and Paranoid.

Nope, haven’t heard those albums other than what is constantly played on the radio. My next Ozzy album I plan on picking up is Volume 4.

Haven’t you heard the albums Sabbath’s debut album, “Paranoid“, “Master Of Reality” or “Volume 4“?

Those four, plus “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” are Black Sabbath’s best! All with Ozzy on vox.
